We have moved home!

This site has merged with the Nature Microbiology Community

Feb 19, 2018

Many of you will know that we have not one, but two, microbiology-related online communities. Our sister site, the Nature Microbiology Community, has been running since January 2016, led by Chief Editor, Andy Jermy. Rather than continue to run two distinct, but overlapping sites, we have taken the decision to merge these two communities under a newly branded Nature Research Microbiology Community.

This new community will benefit from a broader reach and a larger membership. The community is still free to access and welcomes contributions from editors, authors and readers of all Nature Research journals, including Nature, Nature Microbiology, Nature Reviews Microbiology, Nature Communications, Nature Medicine - and npj Biofilms and Microbiomes. Indeed, all microbiologists are welcome to contribute, even if they don't publish in our journals!

We want you to take part in this new community, so please go to the link below and sign up for an account. Signing up is really quick and easy – simply register with the same email address that you use for the npj Biofilms and Microbiomes Community, and your profile will be automatically transferred.

Any questions, just let me know, by emailing me at communities@nature.com.

We look forward to welcoming you to our new Nature Research Microbiology Community!

Head of Communities & Engagement, Springer Nature

I am Head of Communities & Engagement at Springer Nature with a role to provide training, guidance and support on our online communities. I worked at BioMed Central for 5 years, where I launched and developed new open access journals, including Microbiome, Zoological Letters and Cancer & Metabolism. Before that, I spent 8 years in research with a PhD in influenza virus innate immunity from the University of Reading and Health Protection Agency and then as a postdoc at Imperial College London researching smallpox vaccines, viral ion channels and apoptosis. Please get in touch with any training needs, technical questions or general comments!
