Community Guidelines

The npj Biofilms and Microbiomes Community is for the sharing of expert advice and opinion on biofilms and microbiomes research. Please take a moment to read our guidelines for Experts or Members (depending on your role in the community), to help you get the most from your time here.

For Experts

Experts are invited by the npj Biofilms and Microbiomes team, and we are interested in hearing from others who’d like to share their knowledge and collaborate with fellow scientists in the biofilms and microbiomes field. If that sounds like you, please contact us.

Experts can contribute freely within the npj Biofilms and Microbiomes Community in the following ways:

  • Writing posts
  • Creating and uploading videos
  • Uploading PDF documents and slidedecks
  • Publishing their posts, videos and PDFs to Channels (as well as their profile pages)
  • Initiating and participating in video panels
  • Answering questions from fellow community participants, as well as asking their own questions
  • Commenting on content
  • Upvoting content
  • Sharing content via social media
  • Following fellow Experts, Contributors and Members, to be alerted to their latest content
  • Directly messaging other community participants

The npj Biofilms and Microbiomes Community is for the open sharing of knowledge. We do however ask that Experts adhere to our Community Policy and Website Terms of Use.

For Members

Anyone with an interest in biofilms and microbiomes research can join the npj Biofilms and Microbiomes Community.

Community Members can engage directly with Experts, Contributors and each other, by:

  • Asking questions
  • Commenting on content
  • Upvoting content
  • Sharing content via social media
  • Following fellow Experts, Contributors and fellow Members, to be alerted to their latest content
  • Publishing their own posts to their profile pages, to showcase their experience and share their research and opinions
  • Directly messaging other community participants

The npj Biofilms and Microbiomes Community is for YOU. Use it to share, learn, collaborate and build your network to progress your research. We do however ask that community Members adhere to our Community Policy and Website Terms of Use.
